Was anyone else taught to always size up? 🙌

Whenever we were bought new clothes as a kid, Mum and Gran would always buy a size bigger than we needed so it would last us longer. That left us looking pretty scrawny in photos until we filled out a bit 😂 I found myself doing just that with this romper! I bought it for a special little 2mo for Christmas so it'll fit her in Autumn...classic!

Fun fact: Dunstan (the moustached bloke - Whom I often refer to as Dunny 🙊) waited 18mo in between asking my Dad if he could marry me and actually asking me. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Dad thought he'd forgotten or changed his mind 🤷🏼‍♀️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In the final 8 months of this 18months, we fell pregnant (somewhat planned but still VERY unprepared 🤣) decided we couldn't flat anymore (newborn!), bought a house truck, lived in our house truck, decided to buy a house and managed to buy a house. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And then he (finally) proposed 🥰 in our house truck, with the fire on, 10 days before Bill arrived, while we were drinking tea and chatting. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It was perfect 💙⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So we locked in the 2nd of January 2021 because I had always wanted a summer wedding. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It's my favourite season, after all. ☀️⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It could not have been more opposite to summer unless it snowed! We had 100mm of rain on the first two days of the year. Pretty much a third of Central Otago's annual rainfall. (The farmer in me was dancing with joy 🤣)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Just over 100 of us all crammed into a tiny wee church, we wore gumboots, jandles or even just plain old barefeet and we all danced in the rain. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

It was perfect 💙⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Coverall or smock bibs are so handy when you've just finished dressing your babe and they decide they're still hungry...come on, we've all been there! 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

They're even spill proof so will make sure no food or drink spoils that clean outfit. ☂️

These are all Abi uses for feeding time at the zoo and boy, do they work well! 💪

The most beautiful thing about them? They look good but can also withstand 60deg hot washes to really give the leftover food a good thrashing 😎

Abi and I are not comfortable with being the focus of a photoshoot in any sense 🥴. Good thing we had the most amazing photographer @heidihortonphotography there to put us at ease. She did this by suggesting we do the "drinking gins" shot first - which we wholeheartedly agreed with! 🥂

We're so excited to be investing in our business and this includes getting some pro 📸 to share with you guys! We can't wait to see the results!

Investing in a business as a student and a single-income family is quite honestly terrifying! 🙈 But, we are so excited about the potential of Bill & Mae that we took a leap of faith...now lets see where this latest step takes us!

Oh, hold up, did anyone else just realised they have NEVER washed the bag that holds their moon cup between periods? Or was that just me? 🙈

Once I had this epiphany, Abi and I came up with a cute little pod to store things in, so now I can have one holding the cup or reusable pads and one in the wash! SCORE! 💃

No zips, no buttons, no strings. This envelope design is no fuss and is one of the new products that will be released this year! Now who's excited about that?! We sure are! 💙💙💙

🌻 I can't hold a full cup due to my Cerebral Palsy.
🌻 Bamboo straws make coffee taste weird.

I'm so lucky to have friends and family who would call me out if I just posted the first photo. The smooth chick who can sip delicately and classily from her favourite mug is not me. She never has been me. She never will be me.

The fact that I even took the first photo shows that I'm still coming to terms with that. BUT the fact that I posted the second photo on social media shows that I'm getting there 💃
